THE WHAT? Sephora has debuted a new initiative designed to support and amplify underrepresented emerging artists through its social platforms.

THE DETAILS Sephora Sounds, as the music collective has been dubbed, has welcomed some 55 musical artists of which, more than half are BIPOC and female. The initiative is supported by SixtyFourMusic.

Artists enrolled on the program will have their proprietary tracks featured in the LVMH-owned retailer’s social content.

THE WHY? Brent Mitchell, Vice President of Social Media and Influencers at Sephora, explains, “Within the sound-on world of TikTok and social media today, we’re thrilled to be able to feature and amplify a diverse range of musical artists on our social platforms, showcasing the soundtracks that make up the sounds of Sephora – a sound of strength to empower all creators.”
