THE DETAILS  The three COSMOS-approved ingredients developed by Amorepacific are RE.D Flavonoid, AgeRefect, and Camelloxil. RE.D Flavonoid, created in collaboration with The Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), is recognised for its skin ageing control capabilities. AgeRefect is known for improving tired skin and reducing pores, as proven in human clinical trials. Camelloxil, certified for hair loss prevention, is incorporated into Amorepacific’s hair care products.

THE WHY? Amorepacific’s Chief Technology Officer, Seo Byung-hui, emphasised that the COSMOS endorsement validates the company’s commitment to global standards in research and innovation (R&I). This achievement aligns with their goal to lead the clean beauty trend through ongoing research. Additionally, in June 2023, Amorepacific received a Green Certification for a new technology that upcycles camellia oil cake, a byproduct of camellia oil extraction. This technology not only reduces carbon emissions during production but also promotes the reuse of waste materials, further underscoring the company’s dedication to sustainable and environmentally friendly practices.
